I applie methods of computational quantum and classical mechanics to explain and predict the electronic, structural, thermodynamic, mechanical, and magnetic properties of novel 2D materials, nanostructures, and atomic clusters. My research involves multiscale models linking ab-initio, atomistic and micromagnetic modelling regimes. Some of my current research topics are: interaction effects among 2D magnetic materials; magnetic properties of nanodots and nanowires; exchange bias phenomenon in nanostructures; behavior of bimetallic magnetic clusters isolated and interacting with surfaces.
