Prof. Alberto Faraggi did his undergraduate and M.Sc. in Physics studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (PUC). He then obtained his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Michigan. Between 2012 and 2017 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the Universidade de São Paulo and PUC, after which he became a Professor at Universidad Andrés Bello. In 2021 he was selected for the Associates Programme (2022-2027) at ICTP. He joined PUC as an Associate Professor in 2023.
His lines of research include holography, supersymmetry and supergravity, string theory, Wilson loops, and other related topics.
