Investigation lines
My area of research is Medical Physics. In particular, my work focuses on the personalization of cancer radiotherapy. My research ranges from in vitro radiobiological experiments to clinical applications of new treatment techniques, including the study of analytical models of anticancer therapies, computational simulation of relevant radiobiological phenomena, medical image processing, the application of artificial intelligence to radiotherapy, and the development of radiation detectors, among other topics. An important part of my research has been linked to the search for strategies that combat resistance to ionizing radiation induced by tumor hypoxia.
