Einstein’s theory of relativity is a very complex theory mathematically. Many of its aspects and predictions have taken decades to be understood. Furthermore, its eventual unification with quantum physics is still an unsolvable problem. My line of work focuses on the mathematical and theoretical aspects of this theory taking ingredients from string theory (such as the AdS/CFT correspondence) studying applications to cosmology and black holes.
