My scientific research is dedicated to the study of cold atoms in optical lattices with the current focus on two main areas. The first area comprises the study of mixtures of Bose-Einstein condensates, whose research involves cold atom physics, quantum correlations, Bose-polaron physics and quantum dynamics out of equilibrium.
The second area tackles the theoretical study of atomtronics systems. This is an emerging intense research area with great promise for quantum technologies, which focuses on the design of atomic quantum devices, characterized by tunable parameters and low decoherence. It is also an area where atomtronics systems with multiple functions and properties can be conceived.
